Orange Ginger Juice | Orange Gingerade | Fresh Fruit Juices

Hello all, am back to blogging quite after a long time, silly but 6 days seems to be a long gap for me. Recently I have purchased a new and own domain for my blog and as it was in the transition period I thought of giving a short break to blogging. That's the reason for my disappearance, also my net was and is still completely down am not even able to load any pages properly, I have been connecting and disconnecting my device nearly 100 times (swear that's not over-exaggeration) to post this recipe, phew!!! Hoping to troubleshoot this problem soon as possible, as it is consuming all my time and is hindering my work a lot. And once again for those who aren't aware, my blog has its new domain now and will be available in this address (http://www.youtoocancook.net/), even if you have bookmarked my old blogspot address it will redirect you to the new URL so no worries. Just keep supporting me like you'd always do. Okay now lets move on today's recipe; I wanted to post some dessert as this is my first post after purchasing the new domain, but instead this scorching heat here in India has forced me to not make a dessert but make something refreshing to beat the heat. Am not even interested in standing inside the kitchen as it is awfully hot here, and am not interested in eating anything too, but rather I have been keenly interested in gulping loads of chilled fresh fruit juices, lemonades and gingerades; obviously this summer and dehydration makes me crave so. So thought of sharing with you a refreshing ginger flavored orange juice or a Orange gingerade that would be perfect to get rid of the fluid loss. This combo works really well give a try and you'd agree. We are all aware that these juicy pulpy oranges are packed with loads of Vitamin C & essential nutrients, the best part is it has no saturated fats and is very low in calories. But let me tell you some interesting fact about these oranges, these are known to have an increased level of a dietary fiber that helps in controlling weight and is perfect during diet control, that sounds cool right? but this benefit gets nullified when you add sugar to the juice. So try to avoid sugar while making fresh fruit juices to enjoy the health benefits. Now lets see how to make this refreshing, fresh gingerade.

INGREDIENTS

Serves one person
Total Preparation Time - 5 minutes
  1. Orange - 2
  2. Cold water - 1 cup
  3. Ginger - 1 inch long piece
  4. Sugar - 2 spoons (Optional)

PREPARATION METHOD

  • Peel oranges, separate the carpels and put them in a blender/juicer.
  • Scrap off the skin from ginger and add it into the blender or juicer. Pour cold water and add sugar (its optional).
  • Close the blender and blend well. Then strain the juice and discard the pulp.
  • Serve!!

TIP: You can add a some lemon juice to the Gingerade, if your oranges are too sweet. Also adding sugar is optional here.
